A brief history of the Oregon Trail at McDonalds Crossing on the John Day River, the BLM’s recent land acquisition at McDonalds Crossing, recent BLM survey of the Oregon Trail, the Oregon Trail today and public access at McDonalds Crossing and Fourmile Canyon, future Oregon Trail management proposals, hiking, and interpretative opportunities.
